Breathwork begins amidst the global pandemic

Liberti Breathwork: The Genesis of a Life of Teaching

My journey into the world of breathwork began long before I ever taught my first class. While I could recount how I embarked on my personal development journey with Tony Robbins’ Unleash the Power Within at just 17, let’s skip to the turning point that led me to Los Angeles, CA, and ultimately to Liberti Breathwork.

The Move to Los Angeles and a New Beginning

In 2020, I moved to Los Angeles after an unforgettable four months of soul-searching across Europe. It was the most significant move of my life since my family emigrated from Peru to the USA. Despite working odd jobs—serving, bartending, and even providing tech support at election booths—I felt a deeper calling. A psilocybin journey in Amsterdam had reminded me of my passion to serve the world.

The Rise of Breathwork Amidst a Global Pandemic

As I settled in LA, I immersed myself in hot yoga, learned pranayama, and experimented with plant medicines. But nothing could prepare me for the world’s sudden shift in March 2020. The C*VID-19 pandemic forced us all to turn inward. With everything shut down, from beaches to hiking trails, I turned to guiding small meditation sessions with friends. It was during these times that I discovered my natural talent for leading meditation and hypnosis. This realization pushed me to train and refine my skills further.

The First Breathwork Session in Malibu, CA

The pandemic had California on lockdown, but my determination to share light in the darkness led me to start teaching meditation online. Twice a week, I hosted Zoom sessions, regardless of the turnout. For 18 months, I honed my teaching skills, gaining the confidence to transition to in-person sessions.

When the beaches reopened, I partnered with the talented sound healer, Marilia Moreno, to host our first Beach Breathwork & Sound Bath event. The event was a success, and soon, we were organizing larger sessions across Southern California. The positive feedback and profound transformations experienced by participants fueled my passion for teaching and creating even more magical settings for breathwork.
